The crystal harp is a beautiful and harmonious sounding instrument.
This model was created especially to be played together with a handpan. It has a specially prepared melodic pattern and an additional low ding tone.
It has an extremely long sustain and perfectly creates a crystal background of tones from the handpan, and also allows for greater modulation of the live sound and greater fun with new acoustic qualities through the unique harmonics that this instrument has. This combination creates an extremely melodic harmony that will be appreciated by many recipients.
The sound that comes out of the instrument can be described as harmonic, ethereal and unusual, because people are not familiar with the harmonics of a quartz crystal, which are quite different from metal or wood. The result for the recipient is delight and often instant bliss.
Models intended for playing with handpans are called Turtles and they also have such a symbol in the upper diadem of the instrument.
The ~Turtle ~ D Kurd harp consists of 9 quartz tubes tuned in the following keys:
D4 (ding), A4, B4, C5, D5, E5, F5, G5, A5 with extremely accurate tuning precision down to 0.1 Hz.
Scale: natural a=432 Hz or classic a=440 Hz
The tubes are made of quartz crystal with a purity of 99.8%. For this reason, it retains the acoustic quality of crystal singing bowls, but it sounds in a completely new way.
The length of the harp is 54 cm, its width is 55 cm, and the weight of the instrument itself is approx. 1.2 kg.
The ~Turtle ~ D Kurd~ harp is completely transparent. The body is made of acrylic, and all additional elements allow light to pass through, which makes it feel more ethereal.
The harp can be held in your hand using the middle handle or placed on a stand.
You can play in several ways: by hitting the mallets or, which is more pleasant, with your fingers (lightly tapping with your nails). You can also get a completely different acoustic effect by rubbing the pipes with your hands moistened with water.
By moving the harp sideways while playing, its sound undergoes additional modulations.
